My task was to create an e-commerce solution or web shop that is integrated with PayPal system. The intent of this paper is to show how this e-commerce web application was built and integrated with the PayPal system.

The underlying technology used in the implementation of the application includes .Net 2.0 framework (ASP.Net 2.0 and C# 2005 and Express edition of SQL Server 2005)

This degree project deals with the creation of a business system for Gamersneed Sweden.

The system is divided into two parts, one windows appliction and one websolution.

Detta examensarbete har utförts åt företaget MH Modules AB. Företaget arbetar med att utveckla, tillverka och sälja materialhanteringsmoduler till maskin- och systembyggare utan egen produktidentitet. En materialhanteringsmodul kan bestå av rullbanor, bandtransportörer, kedjetransportörer, hissar, vinkelväxlar och pallmagasin.

Syftet med arbetet var att utveckla ett nytt pallmagasin där pallar ska kunna lastas på och av på ett enkelt och driftsäkert sätt med hjälp av en handtruck.

Målsättningen var att konstruera en lyftanordning med styrenhet. Efter att lyftanordningen och styrenheten var klara gjordes det en lämplig ram som uppfyller säkerhetskraven.

Arbetet inleddes med att se över konkurrenternas och MH Modules egna framtagna pallmagasinen. Fortsättningsvis riktades arbetet på att vara idérik samt att hålla idémöten där förslag och krav från företaget togs fram för konstruktionen.

Pallmagasinet ska klara av att lyfta 500 kilogram eller 14 pallar och det ska även kunna vara uppgraderbart till 1000 kilogram eller 28 pallar. Kostnaden för pallmagasinet får inte överstiga 35 000 kronor

Tre konstruktionslösningar på lyftanordningen och styrenheten togs fram för utredning. Efter samråd med MH Modules konstruktörer valdes en av lösningarna.

Lyftenheten utformades med två pneumatiska kolvar. Dessa kolvar lyfter en anordnig med styrskenor och pendelarmar. Pendelarmarna har lyftklackar längst ner. Dessa klackar lyfter pallarna i pallmagasinet. Hållfasthetsberäkningar med finita element metoden gjordes på pendelarmarna samt lyftbalken.

Avslutningsvis konstruerades en ram som ska uppfylla person- och säkerhetskrav. Ramen består av tre delar, den högra och den vänstra ramen samt en gavel. Ramen till lyftenheten är en enkel konstruktion som enkelt ska kunna tillverkas i verkstaden.

Efter att pallmagasinet var färdigkonstruerat gjordes det tillverkningsritningar för beredning av tillverkning.

In this paper we present our ongoing research on designing smart textile solutions for musical tangibles, what we call co-creative tangibles. Our textile, musical tangibles shall be used to improve health and wellbeing for children with severe disabilities and their families, in their homes. We use theories from the Music and Health field as a framework, both for the design process and the design related user evaluations. Building on an ecological and holistic health approach, our main goal is to reduce passivity and isolation, for the child with special needs. To achieve our overall goal, improve health for the users, our textile, musical tangibles have to evoke feelings in the user, be possible for the users to master, create and strengthen social relations and give the users a feeling of wholeness. Because of our ambitious goal, the diversity of users and the varying everyday situation, our musical tangibles have to offer the users a variety of musical actions to perform, and continuous choices of intensity levels and focus of attention. If not, the musical tangibles will lose their interest fast, and lack the relation building qualities we need. Our Music and Health approach therefore demands our textile, musical tangibles not only to be used as an instrument in limited therapeutic session, but in many situations in the users’ everyday lives.

Quasi-twisted (QT) codes are a generalization of quasi-cyclic (QC) codes. Based on consta-cyclic simplex codes, a new explicit construction of a family of 2-generator quasi-twisted (QT) two-weight codes is presented. It is also shown that many codes in the family meet the Griesmer bound and therefore are length-optimal. New distance-optimal binary QC [195, 8, 96], [210, 8, 104] and [240, 8, 120] codes, and good ternary QC [208, 6, 135] and [221, 6, 144] codes are also obtained by the construction.

As a generalization of cyclic codes, quasi-cyclic codes contain many good linear codes. Extensive search is made and lots of good quasi-cyclic codes are obtained from irreducible cyclic codes. A new binary [95, 13, 40] code which improves the lower bound on the minimum distance, is also constructed.

Based on cyclic simplex codes, a new construction of a family of two-weight codes is given. These two-weight codes are in a simple 2-generator quasi-cyclic form. Based on this construction, new optimal binary quasi-cyclic [195, 8, 96], [210, 8, 104] and [240, 8, 120] codes, good QC ternary  [195, 6, 126], [208, 6, 135], [221, 6, 144] codes are thus obtained. It was also shown that some codes that meet the Griesmer bound and thus are optimal. Furthermre, binary  self-complementary codes in a 3-generator quasi-cyclic form,  are also constructed.

In this correspondence, 2-generator and 3-generator QC codes are studied, and many good, new QC codes are constructed from simplex codes. Some new binary QC codes or related codes, that improve the bounds on maximum minimum distance for binary linear codes are constructed. They are 5-generator QC [93 17 34] and [254,23, 102] codes, and related [96, 17, 361, [256, 23,104] codes.

SMS based pull campaign processing system is a new model of directory service provided in mobile infrastructure basically to enable SMS based directory services Mobile directory services is a brand new phenomenon, which hold strong promises to become the best targeting advertising medium delivering new means of services to users with message other than traditional channels (e.g.: print, television, radio and email etc).The main purpose of this system is to bring customers and business organizations closer .It enables SMS based directory services. It not only acts as directory services but also as an advertising medium between the user and the business organizations.

The sub-tropical climate in Namibia, together with nutrients in the water, creates a good environment for phytoplankton, especially cyanobacteria. Many of these produce toxins that can be harmful to people and animals. One of the algal toxins is microcystin. This toxin is hepatotoxic, i.e. the primary toxic effect is on the liver. Cases of gastro-enteritis, nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, muscle weakness and paralysis have been associated with the consumption of water containing high numbers of blue-green algae all over the world.

The aim of this study was to chart the possible linkages between algae toxins in drinking water and related illnesses in Windhoek. The results showed an annual seasonal variation in gastrointestinal problems and high levels of liver-enzymes. It also showed a relationship between the concentration of chlorophyll-a in the drinking water and the cases of people suffering from diarrhoea.

Åhmans i Åhus är ett företag som tillverkar och levererar specialbeställda hisskorgar med tillhörande inredning. Inom företaget fanns inga rutiner för reklamationer som var aktualiserade, utan baserades på gamla kvalitetssystem som inte heller användes. Företaget ville skapa ett nytt reklamationshanteringssystem för att i framtiden minska antalet reklamationer med där tillhörande kvalitetsbristkostnader. Med bakgrund av att företaget var i introduktionsfasen av ”Lean Production” behövde de minska kvalitetsbristen på deras produkter. För att hitta orsakerna till kvalitetsbristen, samt kunna åtgärda dessa behövde företaget en bättre dokumentation över de reklamationer som skedde inom företaget.

Arbetet inleddes med en studie av befintligt material angående företagets reklamationshantering. Materialet som fanns tillgängligt hämtades dels från enskilda rutiner och dels från de två kvalitetssystem som fanns i företaget men inte användes fullt ut innan detta arbete påbörjades. Ett av företagets kvalitetssystem var ett ISO 9000 baserat system, och ett var ett kvalitetssystem hämtat från LM Ericsson. Dessa två system var inte uppdaterade på länge, och fungerade därmed dåligt tillsammans med verksamheten som företaget bedrev. Detta skapade ett behov av ett system som var kopplat till företagets verkliga process, för att på så sätt kunna koppla de uppkomna felen till något moment i processen.

Vidare arbete gjordes genom intervjuer med de anställda för att få en inblick i hur företagets reklamationshantering skedde i praktiken. Vid dessa intervjuer gav de anställda idéer och tips på hur de i framtiden ville arbeta med reklamationshanteringen för att uppnå de kvalitetsmål som företaget hade. Detta sammanställdes därefter och presenterades för de anställda där de fick komma med ytterliggare synpunkter på hur vidare utveckling av materialet kunde ske. Dessa samtal gjordes med bakgrund av att liknade arbete skett tidigare i företaget, men inte gett önskat resultat. Till följd av att liknade arbete genomförts tidigare har de anställdas motivation till liknande arbete minskat. Detta blev ett problem som löstes med stöd av olika modeller och teorier som berör vikten av delaktighet och motivation.

Arbetet resulterade i rutiner med därtill hörande material för hur reklamationshanteringen skulle gå tillväga på Åhmans i Åhus. De rutiner och reklamationsblankett som togs fram under arbetets gång, implementerades slutligen i företagets datoriserade affärssystem och övriga arbetsrutiner. Implementeringen genomfördes med hjälp av datasimulering, där det visades hur rutinerna och blanketten skulle användas. Uppgiften att fortsätta arbetet med implementering och vidareutveckling av vårt system lämnades slutligen över till företaget.

Som en del av SMEKAB AB:s tillverkning åt DeLaval Sales AB ingår tillverkning av frontar och mellanväggar till ungdjursboxar. Efter det att produkterna varmförzinkats placeras de stående i grupper om tio i så kallade häckar. Där sker en mindre montering innan de färdiga detaljerna placeras en i taget på en pall. Denna operation anser SMEKAB tar för lång tid, man vill därför tillverka en tippanordning som gör det möjligt att banda ihop alla tio för att sedan lägga dem på en pall.

Arbetes huvudsakliga uppgift är att ta fram produktionsunderlag för en sådan anordning. I produktionsunderlaget skall ritningar, säkerhetsföreskrifter, hållfasthetsberäkningar samt en grov ekonomisk kalkyl presenteras.

Efter det att uppgiften diskuterats med SMEKAB plockades en kravspecifikation fram och med denna som stöd skissades ett antal idéer fram. Tillsammans med SMEKAB valdes en konstruktions bestående av ett bord som i stående läge kan liknas med ett L, bordet följer med hjälp av urskålande hjul så kallade V-hjul [10], en rörkonstruktion tills det att detaljen tippats 90 grader.

Innan hållfasthetsberäkningarna utfördes genomfördes en undersökning om hur tippningsprocessen påverkas av hjulens placering. Då SMEKAB inte kan säga hur deras produkter ser ut i framtiden önskas en maskin som kan tippa detaljer oberoende var detaljens tyngdpunkt är placerad. Efter att diskuterat undersökningsresultatet beslutades att den slutgiltiga konstruktionen skulle innehålla två hjulpar placerade 300 mm på var sida om tyngdpunkten. Efter detta beslut dimensionerades konstruktionen och en kostnadskalkyl beräknades. I samråd med SMEKAB bestämdes vilka säkerhetsregler som gäller för konstruktionen.

Den slutgiltiga konstruktionen består av ett som tidigare beskrivet L-format bord som glider på en rörkonstruktion tills det är tippat 90 grader. För att bordet skall följa rörkonstruktionen används en hjulupphängning bestående av V-hjul [10]. För att klara rörets krökning är det 20 mm mellanrum mellan hjulen.

För att tippa en detalj placeras en pall stående på bordet, sedan placeras produkten framför pallen. När trucken sedan lyfter bordet underifrån glider det längs rörkonstruktionen tills den tippats 90 grader.

Efter genom fört arbete överlämnas produktionsunderlag bestående av ritningar, förslag på säkerhetsregler samt kostnadsförslag över till SMEKAB. Därmed uppfylls de mål och syfte som sattes i börja av projektet.

Som förslag till fortsatt arbete bör SMEKAB göra en djupare undersökning angående om konstruktionen skall vara flyttbar eller inte. Om tippanordningen skall vara flyttbar måste SMEKAB konstruera en lösning som gör att hela anordningen lyfter från marken under tippningsprocessen.

This degree project deals with the study about the development of workflow applications in a Java programming environment and the developing of an application that manages a claim process. The structure of the report contains four main sections: introduction, theory, design and implementation.

In the introduction, all the background and basic information needed is described. The theoretical part explains the concepts related to the project needed for good understanding. During the design and implementation parts, all the processes of developing the application, the difficulties and solutions found are described. Finally in the last part the Conclusions of this project and the future investigations are shown.

Artemia salina has, for the first time, been used as test organism for acute toxicity of leachate water from three landfills (the municipal landfills at Kristianstad, Sweden and Siauliai, Lithuania, and an industrial landfill at Stena Fragmenting AB, Halmstad, as well as for leachate from Kristianstad treated in different ways in a pilot plan). Artemia can tolerate the high concentrations of chloride ions found in such waters. Large differences in toxicities were found, the leachate from Siauliai being the most toxic one. To increase the selectivity in the measurements, a fractionation was done by using ion exchange to separate ammonium/ammonia and metal ions from the leachate, and activated carbon adsorbents for organic pollutants. The influence of some metals and phenol compounds on the toxicity was investigated separately. It was found that most of the toxicity emanated from the ammonium/ ammonia components in the leachate. However, there was also a significant contribution from organic pollutants, other than phenol compounds, since separate experiments had in this latter case indicated negligible impact. The concentrations of metals were at a level, shown by separate experiments, where only small contribution to the toxicity could be expected.

This degree project tries to give a design solution, a machine for the company “VECTO Materialhantering AB” specialised in total system solutions within internal transport systems and material handling technology. VECTO supply material handling equipment both as stand-alone modules, turn-key plants and complete system solutions with KUKA and ABB robots. The turning device can working with several different weights.

ESAB is a world leader in production of welding consumables and equipment. The company manufactures, among other things, welding electrodes. A roller straightening unit is used in the cutting process to straighten the wire, which the welding electrode consists of, by adjusting some of the rollers during operation. According to ESAB’s standard and the European machinery directives, moving parts of machinery, such as rollers of the roller straightening unit, must be out of the operator’s reach. Guards and protective devices should achieve their safety function with minimal downtime and the least reduction in productivity. The main purpose with this project is to draw up protection device proposals for roller straightening units and based on drawings implement one suitable concept.
