My valuable heart : Emotional experiences after myocardial infarction (English)
Abstract [sv]

Results: The four categories are: reactions, changes in life, treatment and safetywitch is presented in the result. in aftercare, the meaning of the social network, Conclusion: The results show that the persons who had suffered a myocardial infarction felt emotionally ill after coming home from the hospital. There where also a lack of support in the heartrehabilitationprogrammes and the participants who had suffered an myocardial infarction felt that there was a need of information regarding their diagnoses and the after care. The nurse’s role is to mitigate suffering. It’s important that the nurse implies a holistic vision and observes the whole patients situation and not only the medical diagnose.
