“A century of green infrastructure" is the thesis for this bachelor's degree in

landscape science and aims to investigate how the green structure has

changed in Dalby 1940-2018. The objective is realised through remote

sensing of orthophotos in GIS, where continuity, land use, small biotopes and

barriers, have been investigated. The main dataset of ground cover

categorization is based on the Swedish Environmental Protection Agency's

model "National soil cover data". This thesis is in part a method development

process for analysing green structures in a historical context. The outcome of

the analysis showed good results to identify areas with high natural valuesand

areas with developmental needs. The results were compared against current

nature reserves and other databases.
