Abstract [sv]

Studien syftar till att belysa vilka variabler som har en inverkan på små och medelstora företags (SME-företag) erbjudande av elektroniska mobila betalningsmedel utifrån interna samt externa faktorer.

 

Studiens metod baseras på ett positivistiskt kunskapsideal med en deduktiv ansats där teorier för acceptansnivå och intressenter utgjort den teoretiska referensramen. En kvantitativ forskningsmetod har använts där empiri samlats in genom en konstruerad enkät. Efter insamlandet av data gjordes en analys av resultaten som påvisade att ingen av studiens hypoteser accepterades. Däremot påvisade en påföljande analys av faktorer att vissa av dem indikerade i riktning med hypotesernas antagande.

 

Studien skiljer sig från tidigare forskning eftersom hänsyn har tagits till SME-företagens interna samt externa faktorer. Tidigare forskning har inte benämnt beslutfattarens inverkan på ett företags erbjudande av elektroniska mobila betalningsmedel, vilket borde ha en inverkan på mindre företag där beslutsfattaren och ägaren oftast är samma person. Efterföljande analys av insamlad empiri indikerade bland annat på att beslutsfattarens ålder samt erfarenhet inom beslutsfattande påverkar erbjudande av elektroniska mobila betalningsmedel. Dock var deltagandet lågt vilket resulterade att endast 28 respondenter svarade på enkäten. Hänsyn behöver tas till den låga svarsfrekvensen då det kan ha skapat en snedvridning av resultatet för vilka faktorer som har en inverkan på företagets erbjudande av elektroniska mobila betalningsmedel, vilket gör att de statistiska slutsatserna inte har lika stor tillförlitlighet.

Abstract [en]

The study aims to elucidate which variables have an impact on SMEs’ offering of electronic mobile payments based on internal and external dimensions.

 

The method of the study is based on a positivistic knowledge concept with a deductive approach in which theories of acceptance level and stakeholders have constituted the theoretical framework. A quantitative research method has been used, in which empirical data is gathered through a constructed questionnaire. After the collection of data an analysis was made, it demonstrated the result showed that none of the study hypotheses were accepted. In contrast, a subsequent analysis of factors indicated that some of them indicated in the right direction with the assumption.

 

The study differs from previous research because the consideration has been given to the SMEs’ internal and external environment. Earlier research has not been referred to as the decision maker's impact on the company, which should have an impact on smaller companies where the decision maker and the owner usually are the same person. Subsequent analysis of collected empirical evidence indicated that the decision-maker's age and experience in decision-making affects the decision to offer electronic mobile payments. However, participation was low, resulting in only 28 respondents responding to the survey. The low response rate needs to be taken into account as it may have distorted the results for which factors have an impact on the company's offering of electronic mobile payments, which means that the statistical conclusions do not have as much reliability.
